Animal Instinct

If you dream of being bitten or attacked by an animal, this may indicate that you are afraid of being hurt by someone close to you.

"As I was running through the jungle, i turned into a giant cougar.I felt fantastic and free and full of life, but then i was speared by tribal people hiding behind the trees! I started to bleed and could no longer run."

MEANING: "The animal is often a metaphor for the self and can indicate our  desires and instinct," says Linda my friend. "So when the cougar - which represents my desire to be wild and free - is speared and starts to bleed, this shows that i am suffering from a spiritual wound which has not yet healed." 

                 The kind of animal you dream about may contain meaning too. Cats represent femininity,wisdom and spiritual power, while dogs symbolise loyalty, courage, affection and friendship. Animals like tigers,horses and birds can stand for freedom or liberation while bears and lions may represent strength and stoicism.
